April ♥

April was fun! Jax turned three months! Holy coy!!! Time flies by so fast! I get stuck with a dilemma because I don't want him to get older but I get so excited for the future milestones! Speaking of we had a few more milestones in april! On the 10th he started sucking his fist! Its so cute! I keep thinking he will find his thumb and it will turn into thumb sucking but he still insists on shoving the whole fist in his mouth! He takes a pacifier too so thats nice :) The second that drops out I hear the loud sucking sounds and know he has moved on to the fist! I was a thumb sucker, so I'm sure that it will come eventually :) On the 27th we had a huge one! He rolled over for the first time from front to back! Uh oh! Now comes actually having to strap him in things and putting him smack dab in the middle of the bed so he doesn't roll off! He is sleeping so well! He will go to bed anywhere between 8 and 10. He'll usually wake up at 4 to eat and then back to sleep until Mommy wakes him up! This kid would sleep in all day if he could! I am enjoying that while it lasts! He is a great napper during the day too! He'll sleep anywhere too so that is nice! I'm not confined to the house all day! I don't have him on much of a schedule, he kinda just does his own thing and for now that is working for us! At the end of April he started grabbing things. I know its not much, but I love seeing his motor skills develop! He has a little monkey blanket that Carly bought him that he loves! He just grabs it and chews on it all day long! (Yes it frequently gets washed ;) )

Jax also had his first easter this month! I think it was definitely funner for me than it was for him! I can't wait until next year so he'll understand what is going on! We also had his baby blessing this month! It was so fun to have the whole family together! Grandma and Grandpa came down from Utah and Corey's Mom and Stan came from Safford! We did it at my parents house which is totally the way to go! It was such an amazing blessing and I am so grateful to have a worthy priesthood holder in my home! I am missing pics from this so I'll post them later.

As far as Corey and I go, not much is going on! Corey is just trudging through school and we are both working! He loves his job and is grateful that they can work so well around his school schedule! I am just working and hanging out with the fam a lot! I cant wait for the day we are both done with school and can be a semi normal family!!!

March :)

March was full of firsts! Jaxsen is growing like crazy! On March sixth we had our first smile! I have never been so proud lol! The first month was of course filled with those cute dream/gassy smiles but its not the same! Corey and I decided to go to Stake Conference with my family. We hadn't been back to church yet because he was so little and it was the middle of cold season, so we decided we should probably go! We were in the middle of one of the speakers and I was just playing with him on my lap. All of a sudden he looks at us and totally smiles! We waited for him to do it again (in case it was a false alarm!) and he totally did!! I was so excited, it took everything I had to stay quiet lol!! The fun thing is, every smile since feels just as exciting to see as the first! My mom is convinced that it was because we were finally at church and he was so happy to be there! Over the next couple of weeks he started jabbering :) He gets a huge smile on his face and makes the cutest noises ever! How fun it is to be a mom! He honestly fills me with so much joy and happiness! I don't know how I ever lived without him!!

March 30th wasn't the funnest first...Shots :( That was definitely a sad day! The second that lady stabbed him he looked at me like how could you let her do that! Then the crying started! And of course its not the normal cry. Its the i'm not going to breath for 15 seconds and then cry, cry lol!! It was not a fun experience! We have about two more weeks until we get to experience that again. Eeks! Wish us luck!

Corey and I both had our birthdays! That was fun :) Corey's mom was in town so we just hung out and did some shopping! Corey got his sound system for his car and I got money to get new jeans! Still haven't used it lol! I think I'll wait at least another month ;) I went back to work and it is going so well! Sydney just loves Jax and its the cutest thing! She is constantly checking up on him to make sure that he's okay. He would cry and she run over to see what was wrong. Syd loves helping burp and change his diapers! It certainly makes things a lot easier to have a little helper around! I'm so sad that I only have a few more months left with her :( Luckily we are always by their house so we can stop and hang out anytime!

The Three Musketeers!!

February ♥

February was full of new adventures! I had the whole month off and it was spent getting to know my new little man! I went through about two weeks of postpartum crazy emotions and then things started to get a little more normal! I was finally back to myself and able to fully enjoy our precious baby!! We had fun doing his newborn pictures! I had a friend come and take them and she did amazing! He was definitely difficult to say the least! He would fall asleep and we would start and he would wake back up screaming crying lol! It was lovely! We of course had to do a few no diaper pics and you can only imagine what happens when a three week old is not wearing a diaper! Not only did Daddy get peed on twice but mister Jax decided he needed to poop on him also! Corey's got the worst of luck when it comes to that! I can not tell you how many times he got peed on while changing a diaper in those first two months! Jax just knows where his food comes from, so he doesn't mess with Mommy :)

Grandma's and Grandpa are just adoring the crap out of this little kid and so are the aunts and uncles! Its amazing how such a little person can bring such joy and happiness to so many people! Collin will walk in from a bad game or Grandpa and Daddy will come home from a hard day at work and the second they see him its like a complete 180!! He has magic mood healing powers I always say! Its so fun to see all the men in my life melt over this little guy! He truly is special!

February was huge for me! I have been on the waiting list for Nursing school for two years. Everyone gets in so its not competitive, but it is a long wait! I finished all of my pre and co requisites last spring, so I have had this last year to just work and get ready for the baby. There are a few different colleges that are apart of the Maricopa Community Colleges Nursing program. My first pick was Chandler-Gilbert, because the Nursing Program is located on the campus that we live on. So it would be a two minute drive. Well they threw me a curve ball and cut the spots open from 40 to 20 so I was convinced that I was going to get in with my bottom picks and have to drive at least an hour if not more to get to school everyday. Well huge blessing!! I get the email and It turns out I got accepted to Chandler-Gilbert!! I was seriously so shocked! I couldn't believe it. In that small moment I knew that the Lord was mindful of me and my baby and supported my decision. It is a huge blessing to be so close! My mom is so amazing and is going to watch Jax while I am in school. So she is my second enormous blessing! We are so grateful to have family so close and willing to help us get through these next few crazy years!
