August is finally here holy cow!! I'm officially freaking out! We started off with a bang! We saved up some house sitting money and went on a "stay-cation"! We went to the Talking Stick Resort for a weekend getaway. The whole week before, I made Corey watch all of the Harry Potter's so that we could go see the last one. My parents kept Jax on Friday and we went and got pedicures, ate dinner and saw Harry Potter! Sat we picked up Jax and did some shopping at Scottsdale mall. Corey surprised me and bought me the Fossil watch I have been eyeing!!! He was so sneaky, I had no idea!! On Sunday we woke up early and made it down for the Sunday brunch they have there. Wow it was the most amazing thing our eyes have ever feasted upon!! Every kind of food and dessert you could think of! It was so worth the expense! It was definitely nice to have some alone time before school starts.
Jax had his 6 month appointment and it was quite traumatizing! Not only did he have to get shots but he had adhesion's on his circumcision that the doctor had to break. He was not a happy camper, and I felt so bad! He finally settled down from that and then the nurse came in to do the shots! Lets just say that was his least favorite day on earth so far! The last week that we were supposed to watch Sydney, she got sick :( so sad! And then I got it, so we didn't get to watch her at all. It spared me from having a sad last day but in return I was sad all week! I just have to keep telling myself that I will see her often and that it is not goodbye! I love that little girl and it has been quite an adjustment not being with her all week.
I am down to days on my countdown for Nursing School. I never thought I would actually get to this point! The coolest part is, I am so calm about the whole thing. I feel like this is Heavenly Fathers way of telling me I am doing the right thing. Its almost like he won't let me get nervous. I try, but the feelings just don't come! I told Corey if I can just get past the first two weeks then I will be fine! I just need to get adjusted and get into a rhythm. I just hope that I can have the desire and discipline to get things done. I am so so grateful for my mom. I couldn't go to school without knowing that Jax would be taken care of. I can't think of anyone greater for the job! She is a true blessing. Corey has officially applied for Physical Therapy school. It is now just a waiting game. We should find out in September if he got accepted, denied, or put into the normal pool of applicants. He has worked so hard the past few years. We are so proud him and grateful for all that he has done for our family.
Jaxsen is doing great! We started him on yellow veggies this month! He was a little hesitant at first but he loves it now! We finally got rid of the 4 am feeding and moved him to his crib! I had a harder time with the transition than he did! It only took one night of waking up at 4 and spending about an hour to get him back to sleep. He has slept right through since! He'll wake up around 8:30 and come in and snuggle with mom and dad! He loves his crib and had no issues sleeping in a different room! I have adjusted, but it took me a couple of days lol! He is still on the verge of crawling! But he definitely has no mobility issues! He can get to the other side of the room in a matter of seconds! He is getting so big! He has rolls everywhere and is not lacking in the nutrition department! He does the cutest little self soothing thing now! He runs his fingers through his hair. The second you stick a bottle or binky in his mouth, his hand goes straight for the hair! It is the cutest thing ever! I'm sure it will result in bald spots, but what can ya do lol!! Well wish us luck over the next month! We've got big things to tackle, but with the Lord all things are possible!!
